Society Looks for Help After Devastating Fire


 December 2, 2006

 A four-alarm fire destroyed the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Flat Rock on Friday

 afternoon. The roof collapsed and destroyed all of the donated merchandise including:  

 clothes, furniture, household items, winter coats, Christmas toys, shoes and boots. "The fire struck at

 the worst possible time, when our community needs us the most," commented Bill Brazier, Executive

 Director.

 Donations can be made to replace what was lost at the nine other St. Vincent de Paul store locations

 or cash donations can be made online by clicking here or can be sent to: St. Vincent de Paul;
