The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Camps believe that collaborations in today's society are vital to continue to grow and provide a camping program for children.

CYO Camps Collaborative – “Camps Connect”

We entered into collaboration with the Catholic Youth Organization Camps (the CYO Boys Camp and CYO Girls Camp) in February of 2007 called “Camps Connect.” Through this collaboration we have been able to save on administrative cost and share resources in order to meet the ever increasing demands of operating the camps.

The collaboration has enabled us to offer more options to rental groups. If one of the four camps doesn't suit the program being run, another will, or for a group too large for any one of our facilities, we can offer them both CYO Boys' Camp and Camp Ozanam which are situated right next door to each other. This as already worked well for four schools that brought a combined six football teams to Camps Connect.

Camps Connect is away for the two agencies to continue to provide the needed summer camp programs to our families while maintaining the same traditional programs we have offered throughout our many years of service.

Thumb Area Camps

The mission of the Thumb Area Camps (TAC) is to work collaboratively to share resources, knowledge and experiences so that each individual camp can provide a quality camping experience enriching the lives of children and adults. SVdP Camps are happy to be a part of this group.

American Camp Association

Camp Ozanam received it's accreditation from the American Camp Association (ACA) in July of 2007. ACA is the highest governing body of camps in the United States. Camp Ozanam complies with hundreds of standards and regulations set by numerous federal, state and local government agencies, and by the nationally recognized leader in organized camping – the ACA.

Camp Ozanam meets standards in all areas: health and safety, program quality, transportation, food service, sanitation, site management, and qualifications for staff. Camp Ozanam meets these stringent standards because we believe having a well-run camp is the best way to have a safe camp.
